The aim of the course is to provide a basic overview and understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), Early Years Outcomes, Development Matters and the Ofsted inspection framework. This will further develop your knowledge and understanding of high-quality provision for the children in your care.

This online course provides an overview of the main theories on well-being, including physical; mental and emotional; social; and spiritual well-being. You'll discover the effect that poor well-being has on the workplace.

This course will help you to assess your own personal well-being with ideas for appropriate steps you can take to improve it.

The course will also help owners and managers to think about strategies to support the well-being of their staff.

By the end of this course learners will:

• Recall the legal duty an employer has for wellbeing of their staff
• Match different aspects of wellbeing to the particular areas (physical, emotional or mental and social wellbeing)
• State the elements of workplace wellbeing you have a control over and how to support them
• Recall causes for stress in the workplace and identify method for reducing this
• Highlight strategies for supporting wellbeing in the in the early years workforce.

This course has been designed specifically for early years practitioners working in early years settings. It will give practitioners a range of strategies and ideas on how to develop and support online safety with children, staff and parents with an in-depth audit to help develop and improve practice in this area.

By the end of the course you will have:

• Developed your understanding of how children are using the internet
• Identified the benefits and dangers using the internet can pose
• Identified good practice in online safety in order to complete an audit of integral online safeguarding practices
• Identified appropriate ways to keep yourself and colleagues safe online
• Strategies to effectively support parents with their personal online safety in order to develop and maintain a safe online environment for the whole family
• Selected and implement appropriate safety strategies to minimise the online risks to children.

Gain a basic understanding of how to support children with special educational needs (SEND) with our FREE 'Introduction to supporting children with SEND' online course with Pacey.

In this course you will learn what SEND means and explore some potential barriers to attending early education that children with SEND and their families face. You will also find out how you can best support such children and families.
