The announcement today by the Mayor of London, Boris Johnson and Childcare Minister Elizabeth Truss of an £8m boost for London’s two-year-old provision has been welcomed by leading childcare organisation National Day Nurseries Association.
But, the charity warns, the funding must be used wisely to ensure the need for places for London’s two-year-olds can be met in a way that is sustainable.
