National Day Nurseries Association (NDNA) has submitted its response to Ofsted’s consultation for the regulation of providers on the Early Years Register.

In its response NDNA calls for more frequent Ofsted inspections, especially for those that receive the proposed ‘requires improvement’ rating so that these nurseries are able to demonstrate that they have made improvements in order to improve quality in their setting. Nurseries should also have the option, says NDNA, to pay for re-inspection within a few months if they feel that the rating given isn’t a true reflection of the quality service they provide.
