    The aim of this training is to support leaders, managers and owners to develop skills and confidence in tracking the attainment and progress of children in the setting and learning how to apply this to their own practice to strengthen progress and improve outcomes for individuals and groups of children.

    By the end of the course you will be able to:
    • Identify the statutory and non-statutory guidance regarding assessments
    • Know why summative assessments are a valuable tool
    • Develop skills to moderate formative assessments and observations to inform accurate summative assessments
    • Use summative assessments to track attainment and progress for cohorts of children
    • Understand how to interpret and analyse data
    • Use data analysis to plan for learning.
