Every child deserves the best possible start in life and the support that enables them to fulfil their potential. Children develop quickly in the early years and a child’s experiences between birth and the age of five have a major impact on their future life chances.
This aim of this online course is to equip practitioners with the knowledge, understanding and skills to successfully support children’s development in their setting.
By the end of this course learners will:
• Have greater awareness of the different learning styles of children and how to best adopt practice in your setting accordingly
• Have an increased understanding of the revised Code of Practice and entitlement for three and four year olds
• Have a greater understanding of the prime and specific areas of learning and development
• Have an improved understanding of the principles of consulting with children and the role of the adult.
Who should complete this course?
This course is primarily aimed at either experienced Level 2 practitioners or practitioners qualified at Level 3 and above. In addition, those currently working with children in this age group or individuals who may wish to work with this age group in the future would benefit from completing the course. This course provides you with three guided learning hours which contributes towards your Continuous Professional Development.
